Debenhams Will Have No Stores in Indonesia after 2017

Detik.com reported that PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk, the local company who operate Debenhams stores in Indonesia have decided to close all stores due to weak sales.

Debenhams have three stores in the country since 2004.

The closure of Debenhams follows some other big names of retailers who decided to close down many outlets.

Some guessed that the low sales in retail business co-related with the fast growth of online shops but some other mention the weak of Indonesia economy as the culprit.
