Two Policemen Stabbed After Praying, The Attacker Shot To Death

Two policemen from Mobile Brigade were stabbed by unknown person few moment after they finished Isya praying in Falatehan Mosque, Southern Jakarta. Both were wounded and immediately taken to Bhayangkara Hospital. The incident happened on Friday, June the 13th, 2017.

The  attacker himself was shot to death by other policemen coming to help.

Before stabbing his bayonet the policemen, the man heard to shout an Arabic word " thogut" that means "something that is not Allah but worshiped". This spreads an allegation that the attacker is related to Islamic terrorist network.

Ironically, both police were in a place that is close Indonesia Police Headquarters.

Both police were alive and being treated in hospital for their wound.

The incident adds the number of police personnels that fell victims since 2010. The records showed that since 2010, there have been already 35 police that were killed or wounded by various attacks targetting Indonesian police. This number includes 3 policemen killed by bombing in Kampung Melayu Jakarta last May 2017.
