The Orange Troop Whom Jakarta Depends On

The guys in oranges shown on the above photo are calles the Orange Troop in Jakarta, the Capital of Indonesia. Their persistence in doing their job have been acknowledged by media and people in the city as well as all over Indonesia.

They bring no armament like soldiers because they are not soldiers. The equipment brought to carry on their duty are broom and ladle. With those two, they crawl every corner of the city to clean streets, pavement from litter, trashes disposed by irresponsible people (unfortunately, Jakarta has those kinds of people in abundance).

It can be said that Jakarta relies on them to make sure the city is convenient for everyone.

So, whenever you visit the city, please help them by throwing your trash to the right places, or just keep it for a while in your bags or pockets until you find trash bins.

They have enough works to do and we should not add more burden on their shoulders.
